France's Ministry of Agriculture and Food Sovereignty announced that approximately 25 billion euros will be channeled into the sector through its 2027 budget draft and EU funds.
Massive 25 Billion Euro Resource for Agriculture
The 2027 budget draft and European Union Common Agricultural Policy funds, announced by France's Ministry of Agriculture and Food Sovereignty, will provide approximately 25 billion euros in resources for the agriculture and food sector. According to the ministry's statement, 4 billion euros have been allocated to the direct 'Agriculture and Food' mission, and this budget reaches 6 billion euros when agricultural education is included. A colossal total is formed when 9.4 billion euros transferred under the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) and 9 billion euros from social and financial measures are added to the financing package.
Climate Support and Generational Renewal
The prepared budget focuses on axes such as protection against climate and health risks, increasing investment and production capacity, and bringing new generation farmers into the sector. According to ministry data, a large portion of the emergency plan exceeding 1 billion euros, prepared for drought and fires in 2026, will be rapidly deployed on the ground. Furthermore, in line with the food sovereignty and generational renewal law (LOSARGA), 400,000 farm transitions are targeted by 2035, and the France Services agriculture service will become operational on January 1, 2027.
