Tarım Kredi Cooperatives General Manager Hüseyin Aydın met with members of the press at a facility in Taraklı village, Borçka district of Artvin, providing comprehensive information about the institution's activities. Emphasizing that the institution is one of Turkey's most significant agricultural structures, Aydın stated that financial indicators are extremely strong. Tarım Kredi Cooperatives General Manager Hüseyin Aydın explained the institution's profitability as follows:
'Looking at the Tarım Kredi group as a whole, it closed 2025 with a profit of 18 billion lira.'
Agricultural Input and Farmer Support
Summarizing the institution's operational structure and market power, Tarım Kredi Cooperatives General Manager Hüseyin Aydın shared the current capacity with the following statements:
'Tarım Kredi has 24,000 employees, 52 factories, and 19 companies. It manages a trade volume of 10 million tons. Its turnover has reached 350 billion lira.'
Aydın noted that they provide critical agricultural inputs such as feed, fertilizer, plant protection products, and diesel fuel to farmers, and that as of 2026, 658,000 producers have already secured input supplies on credit through Tarım Kredi.
Expanding Retail and Consumer Network
Stating that Tarım Kredi has exhibited a strong presence in the retail sector for the last five years, Tarım Kredi Cooperatives General Manager Hüseyin Aydın described consumer operations as follows:
'With our market company, we serve end consumers at approximately 4,500 sales points. We have 900,000 members. In this regard, we are Turkey's largest farmer organization.'
Aydın emphasized that a fruitful season was experienced due to favorable rainfall, and stated that products purchased from farmers are processed in industrial facilities and delivered directly to consumers.
Branding Support for Artvin Honey
Aydın stated that Artvin possesses high potential in tea, hazelnut, and honey production, and announced that they will provide support for Artvin honey to be branded at the national level. Pointing out that the process needs to be managed corporately, Tarım Kredi Cooperatives General Manager Hüseyin Aydın made the following assessment:
'We will offer them space in our markets, but this needs to be within a corporate structure. That is, once we place it on the shelf, continuity must follow. As someone from Artvin and as the highest-level executive of Tarım Kredi, I will provide all possible contributions regarding the promotion of Artvin honey.'
Financial Structure and Balance Sheet Data
Tarım Kredi Cooperatives General Manager Hüseyin Aydın, who presented clear data regarding claims of the institution incurring losses, outlined the financial performance with the following words:
'Tarım Kredi currently has 19 companies today. These 19 companies have 52 factories. The group has a turnover of 350 billion lira. Tarım Kredi has no companies operating at a loss. Our KOOP market company is included in this. So, do we have a loss on the balance sheet? Yes. These are companies in an investment phase. This is quite normal. What we look at is operating profit. Looking at the Tarım Kredi group as a whole, it closed 2025 with a profit of 18 billion lira. Tarım Kredi increased its equity by 350% between 2022 and 2025, bringing it from 21 billion lira to 94 billion lira.'
Domestic Production and Price Advantage
Aydın stated that all products sold in Tarım Kredi markets are produced entirely in Turkey, emphasizing that crops purchased from farmers at favorable costs are offered to consumers at economical prices. Aydın noted that price comparisons for products in the markets must be made based on content and quality features, adding that the increasing number of customers in the stores and sales turnovers concretely confirm the price and quality balance provided by Tarım Kredi.
