Vehicle inspection stations, with their 249 fixed facilities and mobile units across 81 provinces, are transforming into an emergency first-response network against forest fires.
Stations Transforming into Fire Network
TURKA, operating under the MOI Joint Venture Group which undertakes vehicle inspection services in Turkey for the 2027-2047 period, is launching a comprehensive initiative against forest fires. Within the project's scope, 249 fixed stations and mobile units to be established in 81 provinces will be equipped with next-generation firefighting equipment. Field personnel employed at the stations will receive first-response fire training, establishing an emergency response capacity to combat flames before they grow, until professional teams reach the area.
Critical Response Cooperation with Ministries
Coordination has been established with the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure and the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry for the project, led by businessman Metin Güneş. In the new operational period starting on August 15, 2027, the widespread station network will become a strategic part of the fire prevention chain. This institutional step, aiming to protect forest assets, will lay the groundwork for establishing a broad first-response network across Turkey.
