The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry imposed administrative fines totaling 218.2 million lira on businesses found to be non-compliant with regulations following 117,360 food inspections conducted nationwide in September. Additionally, criminal complaints were filed with judicial authorities against 29 businesses.
Commenting on the inspection results, Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı emphasized their determination to protect consumer health, stating:
