The Turkish Grain Board (TMO) has announced that wheat stocks stored in licensed warehouses will be offered for sale on the Turkish Commodity Exchange (TÜRİB) starting September 1, as product procurement nears its end. It was stated that the sales will be conducted under free market conditions, without any distinction between individuals or institutions.
The following statements were included in the announcement made by the General Directorate of the Turkish Grain Board regarding the sales process and market planning:
Wheat sales will be carried out in quantities to be determined daily, starting from regions where the harvest is completed and product supply to TMO has ended, taking into account market needs and regional developments. Within this scope, TMO stocks stored in licensed warehouses will be offered for free sale through TÜRİB starting September 1, without distinction between individuals or institutions. TMO will resolutely continue its effective regulatory role by responding to market needs in a timely manner.
