Ergin Kahveci, in his assessment of agricultural economics, analyzed data from the Brazilian Ministry of Agriculture for July 2026, revealing a structural shift in the country. According to the disclosed data, while the share of crop production in the total agricultural production value has seen a decline in recent years, the livestock sector has entered a significant upward trend.
Total Value Reaches $268 Billion
Based on projections from the Brazilian Ministry of Agriculture, the sector's gross production value for 2026 is expected to reach 1.398 trillion reais. Ergin Kahveci stated that calculations based on an exchange rate of 5.20 reais to 1 dollar correspond to a production value of approximately $268.8 billion. The magnitude of the agricultural harvest once again confirms the country's critical role in global agricultural markets.
