Agricultural Support Figures Increased by 50%

With a decision published in the Official Gazette, plant and animal production support coefficients were updated; the 2026 plant production support coefficient was raised to 367 Turkish Lira per decare.
Plant Production Coefficients Updated
In line with the Presidential decisions published in the Official Gazette, plant and animal production supports have been comprehensively updated. According to the statement made by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, rising production costs and the impact of regional conflicts on input prices were decisive factors in the increase decision. For the 2026 production year, the plant production support coefficient, previously announced as 310 lira per decare, was raised to 367 lira. Thus, a 50.4% increase was achieved compared to the 244 lira level in 2025. The coefficient for the 2027 production year was recorded as 442 lira per decare.
Supports Increased for Strategic Products
In the updated new support model, basic and planned production amounts were reshaped according to product groups. According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry data, wheat, barley, and corn producers will receive basic and planned production support of 954 lira per decare in 2026 and 1,149 lira in 2027. For sunflower, beans, soy, and canola, the 2026 support will be 1,101 lira, and the 2027 support will be 1,326 lira. Cotton producers will be paid 1,652 lira per decare in 2026, and potato and onion producers will receive 734 lira.
Incentives for Legumes and Seeds
The most notable increase rates on a product basis occurred in lentils and chickpeas. Planned production support was increased by 141% to 1,326 lira per decare for the 2027 production year. Within this scope, a producer cultivating 100 decares of chickpeas will be entitled to receive 132,600 lira in support. Furthermore, the support for certified seed usage was increased to 442 lira with a 101% rise for soy and peanuts, to 442 lira with a 201% rise for chickpeas, and to 353.60 lira for lentils.
Direct Supports in Livestock Increased
Significant increases of up to 43% were implemented in livestock support amounts. Calf support, which was 1,400 lira per animal in 2025, was increased to 2,000 lira for the 2026 period, and calf support (malak) of 2,800 lira was raised to 4,000 lira. In small ruminant husbandry, the support paid per lamb and kid was moved from 300 lira to 430 lira. In cases of calf losses due to programmed vaccinations and contagious diseases, a compensation payment of 20,000 lira per calf and 4,000 lira per lamb will be made.
Herd Manager and Additional Incentives
Shepherd employment support, one of the critical needs of the sector, was increased from 81,000 lira to 116,100 lira. In beekeeping, organized producers will receive 250 lira per hive, and for mohair production, 220 lira per kilogram will be supported. Within the scope of the 'Strong Feed, Strong Production' Project, an additional premium of one thousand lira will be given to calves born from beef breed insemination, and 860 lira to female lambs born in disease-free herds. In raw milk, additional incentives will be provided to producers who deliver through authorized storage units.
