Siirt's Agricultural and Livestock Potential Discussed in Diyarbakır

Projects aimed at increasing Siirt's agricultural production capacity and supporting rural development were discussed at the Regional Consultation Meeting held in Diyarbakır.
A Regional Consultation Meeting was held at the State Hydraulic Works (DSİ) 10th Regional Directorate in Diyarbakır on September 8, 2026, chaired by Agriculture and Forestry Ministry Advisor Ali Recep Nazlı. The meeting was attended by Acting Deputy General Director of Agricultural Reform Mustafa Şahin, Siirt Provincial Director of Agriculture and Forestry Mustafa Şanverdi, and Deputy Provincial Director Mehmet Yaşar Ören.
During the meeting, the current situation in agriculture and livestock in the region's provinces was assessed, and projects to make Siirt's production potential more effective were put on the agenda. It was announced that activities to diversify production, increase production capacity, and support rural development will be carried out through inter-institutional cooperation.
