First Hazelnut Purchase of the Season in Bulancak
The Turkish Grain Board (TMO) conducted its first purchase of the 2026 hazelnut season in the Bulancak district of Giresun with official participation. The program at the Bulancak TMO Purchase Center was attended by Giresun Governor Mustafa Koç, TMO Chairman of the Board and General Manager Ahmet Güldal, and provincial protocol. Hazelnut producer Hasan Çakmak delivered the first product of the season, and Governor Mustafa Koç wished for the new harvest period to be fruitful and profitable for all producers.
Quality Analysis and Purchase Process
According to TMO data, analyses of the first product delivered revealed a moisture content of 3.6% and a yield value of 53.5. In line with the institution's defined criteria, the hazelnuts were purchased at a price of 280.50 TL per kilogram. TMO officials announced to the public that operations at the purchase centers will continue uninterrupted until the last producer delivers their harvest.
