Kazakhstan's government is launching six integrated meat production facilities with a capacity of 130,000 head, alongside comprehensive dairy farm projects, to boost livestock productivity and supply security.
Major Leap in Integrated Meat Production
Kazakhstan's government is commissioning six integrated meat production facilities with a full production cycle to enhance supply security and productivity in the livestock sector. The projects, announced by Kazakh Minister of Agriculture Aydarbek Saparov during a government meeting, will have a total livestock capacity of 130,000 head. According to data shared by Minister Saparov, the investments aim for an annual meat production of 26,000 tons. The facilities will include modern fattening areas, irrigation infrastructure, feed mills, meat processing plants, and breeding farms.

Regional Fattening and Processing Investments
Integrated facilities with varying capacities are being established in six regions across the country. In the Turkistan region, Qayıp Ata company will build a 70,000-head fattening farm, 1,396 hectares of irrigated land, a feed mill, and the first live animal exchange. In the Abay region, Eurasia Agro Semey is constructing a 5,000-head fattening farm and a 14,000-ton meat processing plant. Terra in Kostanay is building a 25,000-head fattening farm, 853 hectares of irrigation, and a 7,000-ton processing plant, while Zher-Su in Jetisu plans a 5,000-head fattening farm, 880 hectares of irrigation, a feed mill, and a 3,500-ton processing plant. In West Kazakhstan, Terra Aktzhayik is establishing a 15,000-head fattening farm and 1,200 hectares of irrigation; in Akmola, Altyn Farm is setting up a 10,000-head fattening farm, 1,800 hectares of irrigation, and a 2,500-head breeding facility.

Rapid Increase in Dairy Farm Capacity
According to information shared by Minister Aydarbek Saparov, livestock initiatives are not limited to meat production but are also expanding into the dairy sector. With the widespread adoption of the North Kazakhstan model, 71 dairy farms with a total capacity of 462,000 tons have been built. The facilities aim for 70% capacity by the end of the year and full capacity next year. Financing for 99 projects offering over 600,000 tons of annual capacity has been completed, while construction of 28 dairy farms with a capacity of 142,000 tons is ongoing. For the upcoming period, 21 new farm projects with a capacity of 228,000 tons have been prepared.
Agricultural Logistics and Digital Markets
A comprehensive network of agricultural logistics centers is being established across the country to secure the supply chain for produced animal products. Infrastructure works, coordinated by the Ministry of Trade and Integration under the President's directive, aim to facilitate market access. Online marketplace sales projects are being implemented to increase the participation of small family farms in trade. Local technology companies, led by Kazakhtelecom, are actively participating in this digitalization process.
