A Chinese delegation visited Manisa to explore opportunities for enhancing agricultural trade between Turkey and China, conducting inspections at production facilities and in the field.
Strategic Agriculture Summit in Manisa
Comprehensive discussions were held in Manisa to enhance agricultural product trade and create new export opportunities between Turkey and China. The Chinese delegation arrived in the city as a continuation of the meetings held in Ankara, hosted by the General Directorate of Food and Control under the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry. The program was attended by Manisa Provincial Director of Agriculture and Forestry Mehmet Karayılan, Deputy General Director of Food and Control Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yunus Bayram, Head of the Plant Protection Products Department Nesrin Çakır Arıcan, and Head of the Plant Production and Plant Health Branch Tarık Memiş. During the meetings, significant evaluations were made towards strengthening agricultural cooperation between the two countries.
Export Inspection on the Production Field
Following the discussions, the Chinese delegation conducted on-site inspections of the production facilities and fields of a private agricultural company operating in Manisa. Accompanied by company representatives, the delegation was provided with comprehensive information regarding the facilities' production capacity, operational processes, and current projects. Potential areas for increasing agricultural product exports between the two countries were discussed in detail. The technical inspections and bilateral contacts conducted during the visit were completed in line with Turkey's goals to increase agricultural product shipments to the Chinese market.
