Hands-on Harvesting Training in Şarköy
In collaboration with Tekirdağ Metropolitan Municipality and Tekirdağ Namık Kemal University Horticulture Club, practical olive harvesting training was conducted in the Şarköy district. Within the scope of the event held in the municipality-owned olive grove, agricultural faculty students had the opportunity to apply the theoretical knowledge gained in their classes directly in the field. Young prospective agricultural engineers solidified their professional development by personally experiencing the stages of olive cultivation and correct harvesting techniques on-site. This initiative, which bridges academic knowledge with practical application, aims to enhance the effectiveness of agricultural education.

Youth Participation in Agricultural Production
Tekirdağ Metropolitan Municipality continues its university collaborations to integrate scientific knowledge into agricultural production and to increase youth interest in the sector. Through projects led by Mayor Dr. Candan Yüceer, the aim is to involve the young population in production processes and to train future agricultural experts. Thanks to this partnership between local government and the university, it is planned to support the olive cultivation standards in the region with scientific methods and to prepare young agriculturists for the field by gaining experience.
