China Accelerates Soybean Purchases from the US
· Tarım Pusulası

Chinese companies have purchased approximately 1 million tons of soybeans from the US, influenced by upcoming diplomatic engagements and dwindling supplies in Brazil.
Strong Chinese Demand for US Soybeans
Chinese companies purchased approximately 1 million tons of soybeans from the United States this week in 14-15 shipments. These purchases have accelerated ahead of Chinese President Xi Jinping's visit to Washington at the end of September, according to four market sources who spoke to Reuters. With the latest shipments, China's total purchases from the US have reached nearly half of the 25 million tons the Beijing administration committed to buying annually by 2028.
Brazilian Stockpiles and Trade Balance
This import move is being pursued resolutely despite a 10% tariff imposed on US agricultural products. The rapid depletion of soybean stockpiles in Brazil, the world's largest producer, is directing Chinese processors to alternative markets. These developments are reshaping supply balances in global agricultural commodity markets and trade flows between the two countries.
