A training program organized in Sarıcakaya, in collaboration with Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality and the Chamber of Agricultural Engineers, addressed cooperativism and marketing strategies to strengthen producers' market positions.
Agricultural Marketing Training in Sarıcakaya
A cooperativism and marketing training for producers was held in collaboration with the Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality's Department of Agricultural Services and the Eskişehir Branch of the Chamber of Agricultural Engineers (TMMOB). The training program, held at the ESMEK Sarıcakaya Training Center, was led by Prof. Dr. Fatma Handan Giray, a faculty member at Eskişehir Osmangazi University's Faculty of Agriculture. The event was attended by the Eskişehir Branch Head of the Chamber of Agricultural Engineers (TMMOB), Selma Güder, Sarıcakaya Chamber of Agriculture President Nevzat Aldemir, as well as cooperative representatives and producers from the region.
Producer Power Increased Through Cooperativism
Within the scope of the training, the decisive role of agricultural cooperatives in marketing processes and collective decision-making mechanisms were comprehensively evaluated. The aim was to increase producers' marketing power by acting together and to create added value in agricultural products. The critical importance of organized structures in enhancing sustainability in agricultural production and increasing producer incomes was conveyed. The event, where mutual experiences were shared, concluded with a Q&A session where participants' questions regarding marketing processes were answered.
