The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry has included eight cheese brands in its imitation and adulteration list following routine inspections that revealed non-compliant production practices.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry has added eight cheese brands to its imitation or adulteration list following routine inspections conducted under Law No. 5996 on Veterinary Services, Plant Health, Food, and Feed. The list, publicly announced in accordance with the 6th paragraph of Article 31 of the relevant law, highlights dairy products that do not comply with food safety standards.
According to the data published by the Ministry, non-compliance was detected in Kashar and processed cheese products belonging to the brands Boz from Mersin Toroslar, Yayladağı from Elazığ Merkez, Taşkın Kars from Kars Merkez, Osman Güney from Erzurum Tortum, Tepehan from Malatya Yeşilyurt, Ortat from Aksaray Ortaköy, and Güçbey and Güleş from Nevşehir Merkez.
