Local Product Promotion by Women Producers
The Mimoza Producer Women's Group, engaged in agricultural production in the Muratlı district of Tekirdağ, brought their region-specific handmade products to consumers at a special promotional event they attended. The women producers, participating in the organization for the first time under the leadership of Group President Fatma Çoban, sold local delicacies from their stalls.
Sharing her experience at the event, Melahat Tütüncügil, a member of the Mimoza Producer Women's Group, expressed her satisfaction with the following words:
'I am very pleased with my sales here. I also bought from the people here, I took a plate of food home, I am very happy.'
Institutional Support for Rural Development
Mehmet Aksoy, the Provincial Director of Agriculture and Forestry in Tekirdağ, visited the producers' stalls before the event to get information about the ongoing work. In a statement, the Tekirdağ Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry announced that they will always support the development approach strengthened by the knowledge, labor, and entrepreneurship of women producers.
Melahat Tütüncügil, a member of the Mimoza Producer Women's Group, who requested the continuation of the organization, stated the following in her assessment:
'We are very pleased that they invited us. We want it to happen again next year.'
