The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry has implemented the Animal and Herd Health Support model, ending the deduction of vaccination and identification costs from producers' other support payments.
The General Directorate of Livestock of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry is launching a new support model to protect animal health and combat infectious diseases more effectively. Within the scope of the implemented Animal and Herd Health Support, the identification of animals and programmed vaccination applications will be directly supported by the state. According to the Ministry's statement, the health status of the national livestock population will be monitored much more closely and effectively thanks to the establishment of regular and reliable registration systems.
The most critical regulation of the new system, implemented for the benefit of the producer, is the cessation of deductions in support payments. According to the information shared by the Ministry, the application fees arising from the identification and vaccination processes of animals will not be collected from other agricultural support payments that breeders are entitled to. Thus, income losses of producers will be prevented, their support budgets will be directly protected, and the financial burden on livestock businesses will be lightened.
