Ağrı Sugar Factory Targets 40,000 Tons of Sugar

Türkşeker's Ağrı Sugar Factory has commenced new season beet purchases, with plans to produce nearly 40,000 tons of sugar from beets sourced from 70 villages in the region.
Türkşeker's Ağrı Sugar Factory has initiated the new season's beet purchasing process with an official ceremony. According to a statement from the Ağrı Governorship, sugar beets produced in 70 villages across the province will be accepted at the factory facilities.
Ağrı Governor Önder Bozkurt stated at the ceremony that they aim to achieve a total beet yield of 330,000 tons, saying:
'As a result of our targeted 330,000-ton yield, we plan to produce approximately between 39,000 and 40,000 tons of sugar, God willing. In addition to sugar, we will also produce over 100,000 tons of pulp and, consequently, more than 10,000 tons of a substance called molasses.'
