Idle Agricultural Lands in Alanya Reopened for Production

Antalya Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry met with farmers in the field within the scope of the TAKE Project to bring idle lands in Alanya's rural neighborhoods back into production.
Producer Meetings in Alanya's Countryside
The Antalya Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry continues its field work throughout Alanya to increase the sustainability of agricultural production and solve the problems faced by producers on-site. Within the framework of the Agricultural Land Utilization Enhancement (TAKE) Project, teams met with producers in the Hocalar, İmamlı, and Yeşilöz neighborhoods of Alanya to evaluate steps that will increase the region's potential. During the meetings held, farmers' demands were directly heard, and detailed information was shared about new production models and field applications.
Idle Lands Brought Back to Production
The TAKE Project, carried out by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, aims to bring lands that are not cultivated for various reasons, left fallow, or remain idle back into production. In this context, the most suitable production models for Alanya's climate conditions and soil structure are developed, and producers are supported with essential inputs such as seeds, saplings, and fertilizers. This support aims to increase agricultural productivity and bring the region's lands into full production capacity.
Food Security and Animal Health
Ensuring food supply security, new production planning, and efficient resource utilization were discussed extensively during the field meetings. In the training sessions covering livestock activities in addition to plant production, methods for combating animal diseases and pests were explained in detail to the producers. Officials announced that technical information, training, and field support activities for producers in the rural neighborhoods of Alanya will continue uninterruptedly.
