Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır announced comprehensive incentive packages in Konya to strengthen smart agriculture technologies and local industrial infrastructure.
Industry and Technology Investments in Konya
Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır attended the 'Inauguration of Industry and Technology Projects and Signing Ceremony' program in Konya, evaluating the city's production vision. According to the ministry's statement, in addition to the 12 projects inaugurated across the city, official signatures were made for 33 new investments. Kacır stated that public resources are being mobilized to accelerate the city's development and widespread adoption of high value-added production, highlighting the strength of local actors.
Comprehensive Support for SMEs
Sharing the opportunities provided to entrepreneurs in the region, Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır said:
"We have provided 9.4 billion lira in support through KOSGEB to our SMEs, who play a crucial role in Konya's growth and development journey."
With the ministry's incentive mechanisms, investments worth 566 billion lira and employment for over 95,000 people have been facilitated in the city. It was noted that half of the SGK employer premium share for personnel employed in organized industrial zone investments will be covered by the ministry for two years.
Smart Agriculture and Local Development
The Local Development Initiative Incentive Program focused on agricultural production infrastructure. Minister Kacır announced that they supported 11 investment projects worth 3 billion lira in the first call of the program, including the production of feed additives. Within the framework of the program, updated in January 2026, 30 applications totaling 11.1 billion lira were received, including the production of smart agriculture technologies and machinery. The aim is for the agricultural machinery sector to undergo technological transformation with these steps.
Expanded Investment Incentive Packages
Stating that financing conditions have been eased, Kacır reported that the financing support for loans has been increased to 30.1 million lira, with a 9.25-point financing support. Additionally, for new projects, financing contributions of up to 301 million lira, a 50% tax reduction, VAT exemption, and customs duty exemption are applied. Minister Kacır made the following remarks regarding the city's vision:
"We aspire to mobilize the high potential our city possesses and to make Konya an exemplary location in production, innovation, and local development."
