Alternative Crop Mobilization in Erzincan
Efforts to enrich the plant pattern and increase product diversity in agricultural production in Erzincan continue unabated. In Günbağı village, connected to the central district, producer Ali Ekber Düşürmek has cultivated 2,000 aronia saplings on a 9,600 square meter area, moving beyond the traditional farming pattern. While the aim is to popularize alternative crops with high economic value in the region, such initiatives are intended to directly contribute to the income levels of local farmers.
Inspection on Site Before Harvest
Prior to the upcoming harvest season, Erzincan Provincial Director of Agriculture and Forestry, Alper Koçaker, personally visited the production area to inspect the work on-site. During the inspection, the strategic importance of alternative agricultural products for diversifying the plant pattern in the region was emphasized. Provincial directorate officials wished the producer a fruitful and profitable season, stating that innovative crops will be supported alongside traditional ones.
