12.5 Billion Lira Grant Support for Rural Development

The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry announced a 12.5 billion lira grant package that will create an investment volume of 19.5 billion lira through the Rural Development Investment Program.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry has shared the results of the 2026 Rural Development Investment Program with the public. According to the statement made by the Minister of Agriculture and Forestry, İbrahim Yumaklı, a grant support of 11.3 billion lira will be provided to 3,180 projects within the scope of the program. With these grants, the aim is to realize a total investment volume of 19.5 billion lira in rural areas. Minister Yumaklı stated that the supported investments will revitalize the rural economy and increase the competitiveness of producers.

In line with the Ministry's productivity-focused policies, 77% of the Rural Development Investment Program budget was allocated to family businesses, with a focus on women and young people. While 2,164 of the supported projects belong to family businesses, 1,751 of these were established by young and women entrepreneurs. The Minister of Agriculture and Forestry, İbrahim Yumaklı, expressed the support approach with the following words:

Additionally, 1.2 billion lira in grants was allocated to 2,047 projects under the scope of Water-Saving Agricultural Irrigation Systems, prioritizing water efficiency. Thus, the total grant amount reached 12.5 billion lira. The Minister of Agriculture and Forestry, İbrahim Yumaklı, concluded his remarks with the following statement:
