· TMO

Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı announced that wheat yields are projected to reach 24.5 million tons and barley production 10 million tons, driven by favorable seasonal rainfall.
Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı shared Turkey's agricultural production data on the sidelines of the 5th IAOM Eurasia Conference and Exhibition held in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan. According to the Ministry's projections, wheat production is expected to rise to 24.5 million tons and barley yields to 10 million tons, with the positive contribution of seasonal rainfall. Minister Yumaklı stated that these figures indicate a significant increase of 44% compared to the production figures recorded last season.
Reminding that drought and frost events in the previous production period caused sharp losses in agricultural output, Minister Yumaklı pointed to the decisive impact of climatic conditions on yields. Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı made the following statement regarding the issue:
The Ministry emphasized that structural reforms are essential for the continuity of food supply security and reported that practices aimed at water conservation, developing drought-resistant seeds, planned production patterns, and strengthening storage infrastructure are ongoing.

Stating that interventions continue with the aim of securing producer incomes, Minister Yumaklı announced that the Turkish Grain Board (TMO) has procured 12.3 million tons of grain from its purchasing centers across the country this season. Yumaklı noted that this volume is the highest purchase amount in the institution's history, and with carry-over stocks, the total grain reserve under TMO ownership has reached 17.5 million tons, ensuring supply security.
Touching upon economic relations between the two countries, Yumaklı stated that bilateral trade, which was at the level of 1 billion dollars ten years ago, has exceeded the 3 billion dollar mark and is progressing towards the final target of 5 billion dollars. The Ministry reported that the agricultural trade volume has grown 3.3 times in the last decade and announced that the domestic flour industry will share its expertise in milling technology and quality infrastructure with Uzbekistan.
Recalling the memorandum of cooperation signed in Istanbul in June, Minister Yumaklı announced that institutes are carrying out joint projects in the fields of drought-resistant seed breeding, irrigation efficiency, and plant health. The Ministry noted that technical cooperation will be extended to silo storage systems and the milling sector.
Yumaklı reported that Turkey ranks among the top 10 global producers in 49 agricultural products and recalled that the country has been the world leader in flour exports and the second in pasta exports since 2005. Referring to the country's strategic geography, bordering nearly 67 states, Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı stated:
