Chicken Meat and Egg Production Increased in June

According to TurkStat data, chicken meat production rose by 14.7% year-on-year to 232,000 tons in June, while egg production increased by 21% to 1.8 billion units.
According to data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat), chicken meat production in June reached 232,238 tons, marking a 14.7% increase compared to the same month last year. Production also showed a 14.8% increase compared to the previous month, while the number of chickens slaughtered rose by 14.4% annually to 123,325,000. Although chicken egg production decreased by 1% on a monthly basis, it increased by 21% year-on-year, reaching 1,838,966,000 units.
Production increases in the poultry sector continued in the January-June period. In the first half of the year, compared to the same period last year, chicken egg production increased by 18.6%, the number of chickens slaughtered by 1.2%, and chicken meat production by 0.3%.
