Old Crop Will Absolutely Not Be Accepted
Toprak Mahsulleri Ofisi (TMO) General Manager Ahmet Güldal inspected the purchasing depot in Altınordu district of Ordu and issued warnings to producers. Reminding that the purchasing criteria were announced in advance, TMO General Manager Ahmet Güldal expressed the competence of the experts with the following words:
"TMO's experts are highly competent in hazelnut purchasing. They have trained themselves very well. In this regard, we have no shortcomings or problems."
Stating that producers should not mix old and new crops, TMO General Manager Ahmet Güldal issued the following warning:
"Products from last year will absolutely not be accepted."
The institution announced that all products identified as old crop will be rejected.
Purchase Process and Payment Schedule
Ahmet Güldal stated that TMO began its hazelnut purchases as of August 24 and announced that the purchasing process will continue uninterrupted until December 31. Güldal noted that producers deliver their products via an appointment system, and deliveries will accelerate after the drying process in the initial days. According to Güldal's statement, product payments will be transferred to producer accounts within 21 days from the date of delivery. TMO stated that this season has been productive compared to the losses caused by drought and frost last year, and the depots will remain open until the last producer brings their product.
