Hail and heavy rainfall in the highlands of Erzincan have put tulum cheese producers and small ruminant breeders in a difficult situation.
Sudden hail and heavy downpours in the highlands of Erzincan have caused difficult times for producers in the rural area. Due to the floods that occurred after the rainfall, the tents set up by cheese producers for shelter and production were submerged.
Producers engaged in traditional tulum cheese production and livestock farming in the region made significant efforts to drain the water that filled the tents. Producers also took precautions to prevent damage to their small ruminant herds, which were negatively affected by the weather conditions.
