Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı conducted inspections at a protected cultivation site utilizing geothermal energy resources in Erzincan. The official visit to the geothermal greenhouse area located in the Akyazı neighborhood was accompanied by Erzincan Governor Hamza Aydoğdu, ministry bureaucrats, and local protocol members. Minister Yumaklı, who received comprehensive information from officials about the production processes at the facilities, met with the staff working on-site, wished them ease, and expressed his hope for a fruitful harvest.
Making evaluations after the site inspections, Minister Yumaklı emphasized that Erzincan's unique microclimate structure offers a very significant advantage for greenhouse farming. Yumaklı stated that protected cultivation would multiply if the region's geothermal energy potential is properly utilized, pointing to the importance of accurate planning. Yumaklı expressed that, as the Ministry, they are continuously maintaining incentive and support mechanisms aimed at increasing the province's potential, and stated that modern agricultural investments will continue to strengthen.
