Grant Milking Equipment for Farmers in Kargı
Within the scope of the Project for Ensuring Milk Hygiene in Small Family Businesses, carried out by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, significant equipment support was provided to producers in the Kargı district of Çorum. In line with the project financed by the Eastern Black Sea Project Regional Development Administration (DOKAP), 7 double-headed milking machines, all procured as grants, were delivered. The beneficiary farmers were determined by a lottery method in the distribution coordinated by the Kargı District Agriculture and Forestry Directorate.
Milk Hygiene and Increased Efficiency
The modern milking equipment distributed aims to conduct milking operations under controlled conditions in small family businesses and preserve milk quality. Mechanized milking is intended to protect udder health by minimizing contact between milk and environmental factors. The Çorum Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry announced that the project will provide labor and time savings for farmers, and that equipment assistance supporting reliable raw milk production will continue uninterrupted throughout the region.
