At the meeting hosted by the Aydın Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry, comprehensive discussions were held regarding the 2026 olive and olive oil harvest estimate studies. The Harvest Estimate Determination Commission, convened under the chairmanship of Provincial Director Ayhan Temiz, evaluated the current data obtained from field inspections across the province. Expected yield levels for olives, among Aydın's most critical agricultural assets, were detailed. Initial findings from the field formed the basis for shaping production expectations and harvest balances for the new season.
Provincial Director Ayhan Temiz, in his statements during the meeting, emphasized that harvest estimates are a significant guide for all sector stakeholders, from producers to traders. Temiz stated that the obtained data will lay the groundwork for healthier conduct of olive and olive oil trade. He also noted that support for producers will continue to increase and wished for a profitable new season.
