Teams from the Kırklareli Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry organized a Friday Meetings program to establish direct communication with producers across the city. In these events held throughout the province, comprehensive information on current agricultural activities and sectoral innovations was conveyed to the region's farmers. While aiming to increase agricultural productivity through field studies, officials listened on-site to the problems faced by producers and their needs in the field.
The importance of agricultural production planning and the practices to be observed during the harvest period were discussed in detail during the meetings. Experts explained the damage caused by stubble burning to agricultural lands and the significant fire risks it creates. Furthermore, emphasis was placed on the measures to be taken in agricultural areas against forest fires, which increase particularly in the summer and autumn months, and farmers were asked to act carefully and responsibly.
Within the scope of the program, current agricultural support models and application conditions implemented by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry were shared with the producers. Grants and premium payments provided to enable farmers to benefit optimally from state incentives were explained. At the end of the meeting, participants' questions were answered, and points to be considered during the support processes were conveyed.
