688 Million Lira in Support Payments Being Transferred to Farmers

The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry announced that agricultural support payments totaling 688 million 200 thousand liras have started to be transferred to producers' accounts.
Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı announced that agricultural support payments totaling 688 million 200 thousand liras have begun to be transferred to farmers' accounts. According to the Ministry's data, the largest share of the support, amounting to 530 million 153 thousand liras, is for animal disease compensation, while 131 million 11 thousand liras have been allocated for rural development investments, and 27 million 35 thousand liras for the conservation of animal genetic resources.
Stating that they stand by the producers who continuously maintain production, Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı made the following statement on the matter:
"We continue to support our farmers who carry the fertility of the soil to our tables and continuously maintain production. We are transferring 688 million 200 thousand liras in agricultural support payments to our farmers' accounts. May it be auspicious and fruitful."
