Early mayer lemon harvest has begun in Adana. Yüreğir Chamber of Agriculture Chairman Mehmet Akın Doğan announced that production, which remained at 380,000 tons last year due to frost, is expected to reach 710,000 tons this season.

While lemon prices at the orchard fluctuate between 6 and 12 TL per kilogram based on size, the Adana Farmers' Union has launched a campaign to increase consumption following a decline in prices against the backdrop of increased yields.
