With the support project, the aim is to increase the planting area, which was at the level of 700 decares in 2025, to 1,500 decares in the 2026 production season.
At the distribution program attended by Kemaliye District Governor Emirhan Arıkan and officials from the Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry, it was announced that the number of producers benefiting from the project increased from 18 to 28, and the amount of seeds procured rose from 11,300 kilograms to 23,300 kilograms. In the district, where approximately 120 tons of red lentils were harvested last year, the goal is to bring idle agricultural lands into production.
