Şanlıurfa Livestock Organized Industrial Zone Initiates Review Process for Grant Projects

The Şanlıurfa Livestock Organized Industrial Zone Management has launched official initiatives with the Provincial Directorate and the Ministry to address the grievances of investors who claim their grant applications were rejected without sufficient review.
Demand for Review of Grant Applications
The Şanlıurfa Livestock Organized Industrial Zone Management has taken action to resolve the problems faced by livestock investors in the region. Complaints from members regarding grant support projects submitted to the Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry within the scope of the Rural Development Investments Support Program were evaluated. Investors conveyed their assessments to the management that project files, prepared with significant effort, time, and cost, were rejected without adequate review. The management board has initiated the necessary official steps with the relevant authorities to rectify the grievances.
Meeting with the Provincial Directorate
In line with the intense demands from members, a direct meeting was held with Şanlıurfa Provincial Director of Agriculture and Forestry, Mehmet Salih Söğüt. During the meeting, the main problems faced by investors and their expectations regarding project evaluation processes were conveyed to Provincial Director Söğüt. Provincial Director Söğüt stated that he would take a close interest in the matter and personally follow the process. It was stated that if there are files that need to be re-examined, applications for the necessary permits will be made within the framework of Ministry procedures and legislation.
Initiatives Launched at the Ministry Level
In addition to local contacts, the Şanlıurfa Livestock Organized Industrial Zone Management has also held official meetings with officials from the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry. The difficulties and demands faced by producers were directly conveyed to the Ministry bureaucrats. Ministry officials noted that the submitted application processes would be meticulously investigated and the necessary technical evaluations would be conducted. The Livestock OIZ Management announced that the process would be carried out within the jurisdiction of the relevant institutions and that the pursuit of producers' rights would continue with determination.
Transparent and Equitable Evaluation
The Livestock OIZ Management emphasized that their aim is not to target any institution, but rather to ensure that support is distributed transparently and equitably. The Şanlıurfa Livestock Organized Industrial Zone Management Board made the following statement regarding the process:
"Our expectation is not any special privilege; it is that the projects prepared by our investors with their labor are evaluated objectively, transparently, and equitably within the framework of the relevant legislation. We will continue to follow the process to ensure that our investors' efforts are rewarded and to pave the way for investments in Şanlıurfa."
