The first dry bean harvest from fields of producers who received seed support within the scope of the TAKE Project in Karaman has been carried out in Mesudiye village.
Dry Bean Harvest in Mesudiye Village
The seeds provided to producers within the scope of the Agricultural Land Utilization Effectiveness Project (TAKE) in Karaman have matured and reached the harvest stage. The first harvest was carried out in Mesudiye village in a study financed by the General Directorate of Plant Production of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry and coordinated by the Karaman Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry. Provincial Director of Agriculture and Forestry Hatice Bulut, who personally participated in the planting process, also supported the harvest operations on the agricultural land belonging to producer Hüseyin Alkan.
Fallow Lands Decreasing with the TAKE Project
The TAKE Project aims to effectively evaluate agricultural lands in the region, reduce fallow areas, and increase domestic production. In a statement made by the Karaman Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry, it was noted that the yield and product quality of the dry beans grown within the project scope were at very pleasing levels. It was emphasized that the product, grown with modern agricultural methods, directly contributes to the city's agricultural potential, and producers were wished a fruitful and profitable season.
