Export Growth in the US Market

Emphasizing the strategic importance of the United States market, the Aegean Exporters' Associations Coordinator Chairman and Aegean Cereals, Pulses, Oilseeds and Products Exporters' Association Chairman Muhammet Öztürk shared the sector's export data with the public:

'Turkey's exports of cereals, pulses, oilseeds and their products to the US reached $885 million with a 36% increase in 2025. Our association's exports to the US realized as $50 million with a 69% increase. In the January-August period of 2026, our sector's exports nationwide increased by 4% to $596 million. We aim to move our sector's exports to the US above the $1 billion level.'

Promotional Push with Turkish Tastes

Within the scope of the fair, a special tasting event was organized as part of the Turkish Tastes project to promote Turkish food products. At the event, attended by the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Washington, Sedat Önal, Miami Consul General Yeşim Kebapçıoğlu, and Miami Commercial Attaché Erdinç Erbay, the usage areas of the products in different cuisines were conveyed to professionals. Evaluating the importance of the project, the Aegean Exporters' Associations Coordinator Chairman and Aegean Cereals, Pulses, Oilseeds and Products Exporters' Association Chairman Muhammet Öztürk made the following assessment:

'While we are strengthening our firms' market entry capacity with our UR-GE project on one hand, we are explaining the awareness and usage areas of Turkish food products with Turkish Tastes on the other. Thus, we are creating a model that supports our firm-based export efforts with country and sector promotion.'
