As part of the fish stocking project by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, 820,000 young carp and barbel fingerlings were released into the Kıralkızı Dam in Diyarbakır.
A total of 820,000 young fish were released into the Kıralkızı Dam in the Dicle district of Diyarbakır as part of the 'Fish Stocking of Water Resources Project' carried out by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry. During the operation, which was attended by Dicle District Governor Mustafa Atış and officials from the Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry, 420,000 barbel and 400,000 carp fingerlings were released into the dam reservoir.
Dicle District Governor Mustafa Atış noted that the implementation aims to develop fisheries in the district and protect the aquatic ecosystem. Dicle District Director of Agriculture and Forestry Deniz Yıldırım stated that fish stocking activities are being continued to preserve natural balance, propagate endangered species, and strengthen aquatic product stocks through scientific methods.
