Poultry Meat Adulteration Detected in Prominent Kebab Chain

The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry's updated list of adulterated and counterfeit products revealed poultry meat in Adana kebab, which was stated to be prepared with beef and lamb.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry updated its list of counterfeit and adulterated food products with data from August 20, 2026. Product samples taken from the Ciğerci Bahattin branch, operating under Serdivan Yemekçilik Sanayi ve Ticaret Limited Şirketi in Serdivan district of Sakarya, were analyzed in the laboratory.
According to the Ministry's statement, poultry meat was detected in the product offered for sale under the name 'Dana-Kuzu Adana Kebap' at the establishment. The kebab, marketed with red meat content, was included in the list of counterfeit or adulterated food products on the grounds of being mixed with a substance that does not carry the same value.
