Agricultural Producer Prices Rose in July

According to TurkStat data, the agricultural producer price index (TÜFE) increased by 2.31% month-on-month in July, while annual producer inflation stood at 18.81%.

TÜFE Shows Increase in July Data

According to data shared by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat), the Agricultural Producer Price Index increased by 2.31% in the July period compared to the previous month. The TÜFE figures showed an increase of 10.22% compared to December of last year and 18.81% compared to the same period of the previous year. The twelve-month average increase in the index was recorded as 35.12%. When examined on a sectoral basis, agricultural and hunting products and related services increased by 2.52% on a monthly basis, while fish and other fishing products saw a 0.82% increase. Forestry products, on the other hand, experienced a decline of 1.66%.

Price Changes in Sub-Groups

When price movements in the main product groups were examined, a monthly decrease of 0.62% was determined in annual crops. In contrast, prices in perennial crops showed a significant increase of 8.33%. The live animals and animal products group recorded a monthly increase of 0.67%. According to TurkStat data, the highest annual increase occurred in the sub-group of vegetables, melons-watermelons, roots, and tubers, at 84.34%. The sharpest monthly price decrease was experienced in tropical and subtropical fruits, at 13.61%.
