The Yalova Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry has initiated a 5-day public notice and leasing process for farmland that has remained uncultivated for two consecutive years.
Idle Lands Posted for Public Notice
The Yalova Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry has launched an official leasing process to bring farmland, owned by real or legal entities and left uncultivated for two consecutive years, back into production. Within the scope of Law No. 5403 on Soil Conservation and Land Use, implemented by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, Determination Commissions identified idle parcels using satellite imagery and on-site field inspections. The prepared lists will be posted at headman's offices for 5 days between September 7, 2026, and September 11, 2026.
Objection Process and Leasing Schedule
Landowners and interested parties with rights to the listed lands can file written objections at the provincial or district directorates of agriculture and forestry within the announced 5-day period. After the commission evaluates the submitted applications, rental rates for the lands will be determined based on the finalized lists. Following the completion of valuation procedures, a second official announcement will be made for the leasing process of these agricultural lands, bringing idle parcels back into agricultural production.
