Within the scope of the project carried out to increase winter vegetable production in the Kızılırmak Delta, 266,000 white cabbage, cauliflower, and broccoli seedlings were delivered to producers. In the program financed by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, 75% of the seedling cost was covered as a grant, with the remaining 25% covered by farmer contributions. The seedling delivery ceremony was held in front of the Bafra District Agriculture and Forestry Directorate; the support reached farmers producing in the Karburç, Koşuköy, İkiztepe, Harız, Fener, Kaygusuz, Karpuzlu, and Yeşilyazı neighborhoods.

The TAKE Project and the Good Agricultural Practices Dissemination and Control Project, carried out within the scope of the General Directorate of Agricultural Production's Investment Program, have been continuously implemented across Bafra since 2022. According to data from the Bafra District Agriculture and Forestry Directorate, a total of 550,000 seedlings were distributed to producers in 2024 and 2025. With the addition of 266,000 new seedlings provided within the 2026 investment program, the capacity and productivity of winter vegetable planting areas in the region have been strengthened.
The primary goal of the project is to develop the cultivation of certified products free of pesticide residues and compliant with food safety criteria in the delta basin. The Bafra Vegetable Producers Association, responsible for the field control and certification stages of the process, oversees the production's compliance with international standards. Through this traceable and high-quality production model, it is planned to increase both producer incomes and the volume of fresh vegetables exported from the region to foreign markets.
