Çukurova Agriculture Meets Technology
Çukurova, one of Turkey's most fertile agricultural basins, is hosting a major event that comprehensively showcases agricultural mechanization and modern production techniques. The 19th Adana Agriculture, Livestock, Poultry, and Dairy Industry Fair, organized by Tüyap Tüm Fuarcılık Yapım A.Ş., has commenced its operations under the roof of the Adana International Fair and Congress Center. The event, held across a total of 35,000 square meters of indoor and outdoor space between November 4-8, aims to directly connect regional producers with modern agricultural machinery and seed solutions.
Official Opening with Broad Participation
The official opening of the fair was held with the intensive participation of public institutions and agricultural sector representatives. Adana Governor Mustafa Yavuz, Adana Metropolitan Municipality Deputy Mayor Güngör Geçer, Adana Commodity Exchange Chairman Şahin Bilgiç, and Adana Chamber of Commerce Chairman Mehmet Şahbaz attended the ceremony. Additionally, Adana Chamber of Industry Chairman Zeki Kıvanç, Adana Hacı Sabancı Organized Industrial Zone Chairman Bekir Sütçü, and Tüyap Fairs Yapım A.Ş. General Manager İlhan Ersözlü were present at the ceremony. The added value that the organization will provide to the region's farmers and local economy was highlighted during the opening.

İlhan Ersözlü: Export Target
Drawing attention to the global dimension of the fair, Tüyap Fairs Yapım A.Ş. General Manager İlhan Ersözlü made the following remarks in his opening speech:
'The Adana Agriculture – Greenhouse & Garden Fair, opening its doors for the 19th time this year, will bring together sector representatives and visitors for five days. Our fair, held with the participation of approximately 80 companies, has started to receive intense interest from Adana as well as from provinces and districts in the region from the very first hours of its opening. There is also significant interest from abroad in our fair. We are particularly hosting important buyer delegations from Iraq, Iran, and Syria. In addition, we have visitors who have registered online from 17 countries. With our fair, we aim for our companies to meet with important buyers from both domestic and international markets, and to discuss technological advancements and commercial relations in the agricultural sector. Many companies have the opportunity to introduce their new products at our fair. Tractors, combine harvesters, and various agricultural machinery to be exhibited for the first time are also presented to the appreciation of our visitors. We believe that our fair, which brings together the strong agricultural production potential of Adana and Çukurova with the innovative technologies of the sector, will make significant contributions to the establishment of new commercial connections and the development of regional agriculture.'
Governor Yavuz: Çukurova Feeds the World
Adana Governor Mustafa Yavuz, in his speech, emphasized the region's strategic position in global food supply and agricultural production, stating:

'If you ask where this fair belongs in Turkey, it undoubtedly belongs in Adana. Because Çukurova is one of the largest plains in the world today. Adana is not only an industrial city but also a very important agricultural city. When we consider not only Adana but a wider geography, we see the Çukurova Basin, extending from Mersin to Adana, Osmaniye, and the north of Hatay. This geography is a very valuable production center where cultivation is carried out intensively, feeding not only our region and country but also the world with its agricultural production. Today, we are opening our fair in Adana together with our companies that add value to our agriculture. I hope that our fair, which we are organizing for the 19th time this year, will continue to grow in the coming years. Hopefully, we will open many more 29th and 39th fairs together in this city.'
Innovative Agricultural Machinery on Display
Within the scope of the event, the most current examples of agricultural mechanization are presented to the appreciation of farmers. A wide range from tractors to combine harvesters, from modern irrigation systems to greenhouse technologies, from seed and seedling varieties to soil tillage machines are exhibited at the fair. Additionally, livestock, milking units, feed industry, and agricultural software also have stands. Producers have the opportunity to meet their needs for modern equipment directly with manufacturing companies, compare options, and test new technologies on-site.
New Export Gateway to the Middle Eastern Market
The organization aims to carry Çukurova's agricultural machinery and equipment strength beyond its borders and connect it with new markets. Commercial delegations from neighboring countries such as Iraq, Iran, and Syria are conducting direct bilateral meetings with local manufacturers. According to the fair management's statement, the event can be visited between 09:30-18:00 until November 7, and on the last day, November 8, between 09:30-17:00. Visitors can closely follow this platform, which will host new collaborations that will grow the region's agricultural trade, throughout the fair.
