Producer Establishes Modern Greenhouse with 50% Subsidy

In the Kaş district of Antalya, producer Mehmet İğdirli has established a fully automated modern greenhouse spanning 26 decares, utilizing rainwater harvesting and supported by a 50% subsidy from the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry.

Mehmet İğdirli, a producer in the Kasaba neighborhood of Antalya's Kaş district, has implemented a significant project under the Rural Development Support provided by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry. Following the information campaigns by the Antalya Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry, İğdirli invested in a modern greenhouse on a 26-decare area, benefiting from a 50% subsidy.

The 26-decare modern greenhouse facility stands out not only for its production capacity but also for its technical infrastructure aimed at water conservation. To mitigate the risks of climate change and drought, rainwater collected from the greenhouse roof is stored in a specially constructed irrigation pond and reused for production. Producer Mehmet İğdirli explained the method, which aligns perfectly with the goals of the Water Efficiency Mobilization for the protection of water resources:
