Joint Inspection Campaign Against Counterfeit Food Launched in Nevşehir

Police and agriculture teams in Nevşehir are continuously conducting 'Food Safety-1' inspections to prevent counterfeit and adulterated products.

Inspections, carried out in cooperation with the General Directorate of Security under the Ministry of Interior and the General Directorate of Food and Control under the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, continue uninterrupted across Nevşehir. Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry food control officers and Provincial Police Directorate teams conducted comprehensive and joint examinations of businesses in the city. During the inspections, the compliance of products offered for sale with legal regulations and hygiene standards was examined in detail.

The 'Food Safety-1' operation is being conducted nationwide between September 1-30, 2026, to protect consumer health. This 30-day operation, based on data from the General Directorate of Security and the General Directorate of Food and Control, aims to prevent counterfeit, imitation, and adulterated foods in the market. Officials announced that joint field operations between institutions will be resolutely continued to prevent non-compliant practices.
