Agricultural Coordination Meeting in Erzincan
The current state of agricultural production and the ongoing harvest season across Erzincan were put on the agenda in a comprehensive coordination meeting. The meeting, attended by the relevant units of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry in the city, was chaired by Erzincan Provincial Director of Agriculture and Forestry, Alper Koçaker. The current status of activities carried out on agricultural lands across the city and the work of units on the ground were discussed in detail during the meeting.
TMO Purchases and Irrigation Process
Among the main agenda items of the meeting were the reflections of the harvest process on the ground and the grain purchase process carried out by the Turkish Grain Board (TMO). Measures taken to prevent disruptions in producer product deliveries were discussed, and agricultural irrigation efforts were also examined in detail. Relevant institutional officials shared their on-site assessments for the effective management of water resources and the order of operations at purchasing points.
Supporting Producers and Field Operations
Solution steps for encountered problems were consulted to ensure the harvest season is completed without loss and without issues for producers. It was decided to increase inter-institutional coordination to ensure the sustainability of agricultural production and to respond quickly to demands from farmers. It was announced that field operations will continue uninterruptedly to ensure the healthy conclusion of the production season in Erzincan.
