TÜRKŞEKER Launches 64th Beet Procurement in Kastamonu

Kastamonu Sugar Factory has commenced its 64th beet procurement campaign for the 2026-2027 season, planning to receive approximately 190,000 tons of sugar beet from 1,422 producers in the region.
Kastamonu Sugar Factory launched its 64th beet procurement campaign for the 2026-2027 season with a ceremony held on October 1, 2026. Dr. Muhiddin ŞAHİN, Chairman of the Board and General Manager of TÜRKŞEKER, made the following statements regarding the campaign opening:
Sharing the season's data at the ceremony, Factory Manager Oktay Demirkan announced that contract farming was conducted with a total of 1,422 producers in 4 provinces, 11 districts, and 99 villages. According to the information provided by Demirkan, approximately 190,000 tons of beet are planned to be received from farmers as a result of sowing on 35,000 decares. It was also stated that 73,000 tons of beet will be shipped to the factory for processing from the Ankara Sugar Factory upon the instruction of the institution's General Directorate.
