Elazığ Farmers to Receive 67.7 Million Lira in Agricultural Support

The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry will transfer approximately 67.8 million lira to the accounts of farmers engaged in rural development and fodder crop production across Elazığ.

Millions in Support for Elazığ Producers

The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry announced that a total of 67,793,972 lira in agricultural payments, under two separate support categories for producers in Elazığ, will be transferred to the farmers' accounts. HÜDA PAR Elazığ Provincial Chairman Metin Suiçer, who announced the development, made the following statement:

"We conveyed the problems and demands of our farmers in our province to the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry through prepared reports; as our efforts have yielded results, we are delivering the good news that a total of 67,793,972 lira in agricultural support will be transferred to our farmers' accounts under two separate support categories."

Field Problems Reported

Evaluating the cost increases and purchase prices experienced by producers across the province, Suiçer commented on the 2026 wheat purchase prices determined by the Turkish Grain Board (TMO):

"This situation clearly shows that our farmers are not receiving the reward for their hard work."

Following severe hail in the Karaçor region of the Kovancılar district, Suiçer conducted an on-site inspection and presented reports prepared to address the grievances of producers affected by the disaster to the relevant authorities after meeting with the Elazığ Provincial Director of Agriculture and Forestry.

Support Categories and Scope

The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry stated the following:

"We stand by the producer at every step of their journey from seed to harvest, supporting their labor."

It was conveyed that the payments would be made under the categories of rural development investments and planned fodder crop production. Following the decision, HÜDA PAR Elazığ Provincial Chairman Metin Suiçer continued his assessment as follows:

"Our farmers work hard and toil throughout the year. We work day and night to make their voices heard in Ankara and find solutions to their problems. This support announced today is the most concrete indication that our efforts have not been in vain and that we stand with our farmers."
