ASAT Earns Blue Document in Water Efficiency Mobilization

Within the scope of the Water Efficiency Mobilization campaign led by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, Antalya Metropolitan Municipality ASAT General Directorate was awarded the Blue Water Efficiency Certificate for its corporate water management initiatives.
Antalya Metropolitan Municipality ASAT General Directorate has earned the right to receive the Blue Water Efficiency Certificate within the framework of the Water Efficiency Mobilization campaign conducted by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry. This certification, presented in the Urban Water Efficiency Sector - Local Governments Category, aims to alleviate the pressures of climate change on water resources. The institution, which has improved its corporate water management, has successfully implemented a systematic infrastructure encompassing steps such as regular monitoring of water usage, recording, and setting strategic water efficiency goals.
ASAT is conducting comprehensive studies to use existing water resources much more efficiently, focusing on reducing loss and leakage rates in the drinking and utility water systems in the region. The administration, which aims to increase the recovery rate of urban treated wastewater, is also focusing on awareness-raising activities to increase societal awareness, in addition to strengthening technical infrastructure. In this way, the understanding of sustainable water management is expanded from the corporate level to the individual usage level, ensuring the protection of natural water reserves.
