Strawberry Production in Uşak Reaches 666 Tons Annually

With an annual production of 666 tons of strawberries cultivated across 346 decares in Uşak, the Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry conducted field inspections to enhance product diversity.

Strawberry Field Inspection in Uşak

Uşak Provincial Director of Agriculture and Forestry, Serkan Bilir, conducted inspections on a 7-decare strawberry field belonging to producer Yaşar Yeter in Çamyuva village. Listening to the production process and farmers' expectations on-site, Bilir announced that 666 tons of strawberries are produced annually across 346 decares in the province. It was emphasized that this production makes a very significant contribution to the local economy and rural development.

Local Production and Diversity Goals

Stating that field visits will continue to develop agriculture and support producers, Uşak Provincial Director of Agriculture and Forestry Serkan Bilir noted the following:

"We are working intensively to increase product diversity in Uşak, and strawberries are among the primary products cultivated in our province for many years. We will continue to support and increase production in our province, and our efforts to improve quality in production will continue by identifying producers' problems on-site."

National Strawberry Statistics

According to TÜİK data, total strawberry production in 73 provinces in 2025 decreased by 2% to 595,000 tons. Data from the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry shows that seedling production increased from 500,000 units in 2002 to 30 million in 2006, and over 132 million in 2017. After reaching a peak of 140 million in 2021, seedling production reached 102,387,000 units in 2025, following fluctuating trends.
