TMO Announces Green Lentil Purchase Price

The Turkish Grain Board (TMO) has set the purchase price for natural green lentils for the 2026 season at 32,000 Turkish Lira per ton and announced that purchases will commence on August 31.
Purchase Price and Harvest Expectation
According to the announcement made by the Turkish Grain Board (TMO), the 2026 green lentil production is estimated to reach 48,000 tons, marking a 62.6% increase compared to the previous season. The institution, which last announced an intervention purchase price in 2021, has re-entered the market due to the necessity arising from market conditions. As per the TMO's statement, the purchase price for natural green lentils has been set at 32,000 Turkish Lira per ton. It was also announced that purchase activities will begin on August 31, 2026, and will be conducted through an appointment-based purchasing system.
Delivery and Payment Process Details
In line with the principles shared by the institution, deliveries will be accepted at purchase points six days a week, excluding public holidays and Sundays. Payments for the products will be transferred to the accounts of producers in contracted banks starting from the 21st day following the delivery date. The TMO's announcement emphasized that producers must obtain their appointments through the official website or the e-Devlet portal, and deliveries must be made on the appointment day by the product owner or their authorized representative.
Farmer Registration System and Deductions
The Turkish Grain Board has declared that it will purchase the entire harvest registered by producers in the Farmer Registration System (ÇKS). Furthermore, the stock exchange registration fee for the products sold will be covered by the institution. According to the information provided, a 1% service fee deduction will not be applied at temporary collection centers, and no unloading fee will be charged for dump trucks. Additionally, producers will receive basic support, planned production support, and certified seed usage support from the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry.
